Mary C. Schoeder
97, Wausau, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
She was born May 6, 1914 in Wausau, daughter of the late John and Ann (Kavanaugh) Mullen. On September 9, 1936 she married Lawrence Schoeder in Wausau. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1969.
Mary Clare and her husband ran Schoeders Bargain Center in Rib Mountain for many years. She was known by many as "Little Mary" and had a love for dogs and enjoyed playing cards. She was very proud of her Irish decent and St. Patrick's Day was as important as Christmas to her.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue Piette, Wausau; grandchildren, Larry Hall, Allen Hall, Kathy (Todd) Orlikowski, Cindy (Phil) Schumacher, Ryan Hall and Joe Piette Jr.; great grandchildren, Ben, Miranda, Alex, Brett, Ryan II, Johnny, Jessica and Jalissa; special and dear friend, Ellen Domka; and special cousin, Dorothy Kavanaugh.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Bill Hart, husband, Lawrence, daughter, Anne Hall, son-in-law, Joseph Piette, grandson, Brian Piette, brothers, Rev. Thomas Mullen and John Mullen.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
