Mary Jane Nikolai

Mary Jane Nikolai 84, Wausau, died Monday, February 7, 2011 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born August 20, 1926 in Wausau, daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Machyniak. On September 11, 1948 she married John A. Nikolai in Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1988. Mary Jane worked at Marathon Corp. and later became a stay at home mom. She enjoyed her card club in which she was a member for 50 years. Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy Ann Nikolai, Wausau; sister, Genevieve Delonay, Merrill; brothers-in-law, Lawrence Nikolai, Wausau and Jerry (Regina) Nikolai, Mosinee; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Nikolai, Merrill, Loriena Nikolai, Schofield and Florence Nikolai, Mosinee, many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Besides her parents and husband, John, she was preceded in death by a brother, James "Clifford" Machyniak and a sister, Dorothy Machyniak. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 3p.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 1p.m. until the time of services all at the church.
