Mary Ann A. Lawrence

Mary Ann Lawrence, 81, 1102 S. 13th Ave., Wausau, passed away peacefully, Monday July 28, 2003, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born April 2, 1922 in Athens, daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Britten) Albrecht. On April 11, 1942 she married Ervin Lawrence at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wausau. He passed on May 9, 2001. Mary Ann was a member of St. Catherine Council and St. Cecilia Circle, both of Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Wausau. Mary Ann loved to volunteer at church for various organizations. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post #388 Auxiliary. Survivors include five sons, Charles (Bonnie) Lawrence, Michael (Janice) Lawrence, Paul Lawrence, all of Wausau; Steven Lawrence, Johnson City, Tenn., Peter (Merry Kathryn) Lawrence, Lake City, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Brad and Helen, Claire and Jeff, Kirby, Spencer, Sawyer, Reagen and Quinten, one sister Bernice Pagenkopf, sisters-in-law, Beverly and Charlotte Albrecht, Wausau, Clara Ferge, Schofield, Evelyn Mayer, Palantine, Ill, Rubye and Katherine "Katie" Lawrence, Wausau, one brother Joseph Albrecht, Wausau, brother- in-law, Lenny Lawrence, Minn, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Lydia Lawrence, two sisters, Catherine Passow and Dorthy Albrecht, sisters in laws Alice, Evelyn and Lorriane Lawrence, one brother Henry Albrecht, brothers-in-law, Earl Pagenkopf, Henry Passow, Wilber, John, Elmer, Walter, Raymond Lawrence and Kenneth Mayer. The funeral mass will be celebrtaed 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2003 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau due to construction at Holy Name Parish. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
