Mary Krueger

Mary L. Krueger, 61, Villa Park, Illinois, formerly of Wausau, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Villa Park. She was born August 3, 1953 in Wausau, daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Shirley (Pophal) Pasnecker. On June 23, 1973, she married Douglas Krueger at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. He survives. Mary worked in the surgical unit at Wausau Hospital and other hospitals across the country. She was very proud of her role as a surgical technician. She was a member of the town of Maine Lioness Club and was involved in many church activities. Mary was a member of the Olivet Congregational United Church of Christ in Columbus, Wis., where she was a member of the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed knitting, reading and loved to draw. Survivors include, her husband, Douglas Krueger, Villa Park, Ill.; three daughters, Jessica (James) Schwartz, Madison, Liz (Abdelouhed) Ouaffar and Melissa Krueger, both of Villa Park, Ill; five grandchildren, Alyssa, Jacob and Steven Schwartz and Noah and Zakariah Ouaffar; four siblings, Marcia (Michael) Niewolny, Charles (Crystal) Pasnecker, Alan (Karen) Pasnecker and Rose (Robin) Procknow, all of Wausau; and 15 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. Rev. Mary Jo Laabs will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, town of Maine. Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
