Mary E. Kolton
87, Schofield, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
She was born July 28, 1915 in Hatley, daughter of the late Frank & Antonia (Janiszewski) Wesolowski. She married Casey Kolton. He preceded her in death.
Mary and Casey were the original builders and owners of the Log Cabin Restaurant, Schofield. Later, she cooked for the Wausau VFW and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Burns Post #388 Auxiliary. Besides playing cards with the Golden Girls, being with friends, shooting pool, she looked forward to her Thursday night pool league and going up north to the cabin and being with family and grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Ron (Patricia) Kolton, Schofield and Larry (Carolyn) Kolton, Mosinee; five grandchildren, Jesse (Molly) Kolton, Chris Kolton, Sheila Kolton, Michelle Kolton and Michael Kolton; two sisters, Joan Connor and Agnes Dupke both of Chicago.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2003 at the St. Therese Catholic Church, Rothschild. Rev. Janusz Kowalski will preside. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau and again from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church.
There will be a VFW Auxiliary memorial service Friday evening at the Sixth Street funeral home.
