Mary E. Knitter 89, Weston, died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Weston. She was born March 24, 1919 in town of Cassel, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Heil) Lang. She married Frank Knitter in October of 1948. He preceded her in death. Mary worked as a teacher in the Wausau and Milwaukee areas for many years. Survivors include her siblings, Fredolin (Dorothy) Lang, Wausau, Edwin Lang, Mosinee, Reuben (Frances) Lang, Schofield, Rose Ravelette, Waukesha, Ruth Uhlenbusch, Floral Park, New York and Kathryn Kratwell, Wausau; many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Francis Lang and a sister, Esther Froelich. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. The Rev. Daniel Hackel will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
