Mary Ann M. Hanke
83, Wausau, died Friday, August 28, 2009 at her home.
She was born June 13, 1926 in Hatley, daughter of the late Charlie and Josephine (Wrobleski) Czech. On September 17, 1949 she married Dudley Hanke. He preceded her in death on November 4, 1992.
Mary Ann enjoyed trips to the casino, polka music and going to church picnics. She was an avid Brewers fan and loved to socialize with her friends at Sturgeon Bluff Apartments.
Survivors include her two sons, Brian (Carol) Hanke, Madison and Dean Hanke (Timothy Stumpf), Madison; three daughters, Gay (Richard) Haller, Cross Plains, Debra (Leroy) Gorski, Wausau and Tammy (Randy) Langhoff, Athens; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Adamczyk, Milwaukee and Jeanette (Edward) Prahl, Wausau; three sisters-in-law, Elaine Czeck, Wausau, Elizabeth Schmidt, Wausau and Germaine Hanke, Watertown.
Besides her parents and husband, Dudley, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew, a step-grandson, Jody and many brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau. The Rev. William Grevatch will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the funeral home.
