Mary Ann Handrick

Mary Ann Handrick, 86, Marathon, died peacefully at her son's home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born June 8, 1930 in Wausau, daughter of the late Fred and Ida (Ohde) Schultz. She was united in marriage to Mike Handrick. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1996. Among some of her favorite pastimes, Mary Ann enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and listening to Polka music on Sunday mornings. Survivors include, her son, Mark (Sharon) Behnke, Rib Mountain; two sisters, Hazel Schultz, Merrill and Geraldine (Bernell) Radke, Wausau; one brother, Allen Lee (Beverly) Schultz, Wausau; five grandsons, Kurt (Pam) Behnke, Derek (Heather) Behnke, Scott (Amber) Behnke, Ryan Behnke and Chad Behnke; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Dylan and Ali; and two step-great-grandchildren, Rayme and Haley. Besides her parents and husband, Mike, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Behnke; an infant daughter; four brothers, Lester, Alvin, Helmuth and Delos Schultz; and two sisters, Emma Christian and Arlene Schmolinske. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2214 Highway 107, Marathon. Rev. Terry Reich will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Rib Falls. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
