Mary M. Burger, 82, Wausau, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at her granddaughters home in Merrill.
She was born September 6, 1931 in Wausau, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Anderson) Duquette. On February 20, 1950, she married Benjamin Burger at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. He survives.
Mary was a homemaker and also drove bus for the Wausau Transit System for many years. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed painting, playing cards, baking, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also had a great love for all animals.
Survivors include, her husband, Ben Burger Sr., Wausau; four sons, Ben Jr. (Kathy) Burger, Merrill, Bruce (Kim) Burger, Wausau, Brian Burger, Coulterville, Cal. and Blake (Lisa) Burger, Wausau; six grandchildren, Dan Burger, Mark (Courtney) Burger, Jason (Aurora) Burger, Chris Burger, Katie (Chris) Stockman and Matt Burger; and six great-grandchildren, Xander, Christopher, Genevieve, Ila, Bobbi and Thomas.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Burger.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau.
