Mary A. Berna

Mary A. Berna, 72, Wausau, died Friday, May 12, 2017 at Aspirus Hospice House. She was born December 1, 1944 in Wausau, daughter of the late Edward and Martha (Pionek) Goyette. On September 18, 1965 she married Ronald Berna in Wausau. He survives. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, being outdoors and gardening both vegetables and flowers. She was a religious person and above all she loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Ronald, Wausau; son, Scott (Melissa) Berna, Wausau, grandson, Anthony Berna, Wausau; sister, Nancy (Thomas) Gouza, Weston; sister-in-law, Joyce Olson, Wausau and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward "Sonny" Goyette II. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
