Marvin C. Osterbrink

Marvin C. Osterbrink, 84, Wausau passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025 while under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Service at  Wood Aven, Wausau.

He was born August 27, 1940 in Marathon, son of the late William and Sadie (Clark) Osterbrink.  On June 14, 1969 he married Delores Albrecht in Wausau.  She survives.

For many years Marvin worked at the former Hammerblow Tool Company until his retirement.  Some of his favorite pastimes included traveling with Delores and taking the kids in the camper, being the one who always read the maps, fishing, hunting, watching the Packers and the Brewers, playing cards and taking an occasional trip to the casino.

Marvin proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Delores Osterbrink, Schofield, his children, Debbie (Bob) Sherer, Jackie Sjoberg, Paul (Dianna) Osterbrink and Shawn (Anna) Osterbrink, his grandchildren, Kristina (Glenn) Strozewski, Jessica (Bryan) Olson, Michael Sherer, Matthew (Suzy) Sherer, Chase (Jennifer) Kraimer, Olivia and Cole Osterbrink, Tyler Frodl and Carson Osterbrink, his great grandchildren, Parker Strozewski, Maliyah, Mynah and Greyson Kraimer and Hollis Sherer, his brother, Roger (Cindy) Osterbrink, his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Osterbrink and Patty (Tom) Niewolny and his brother-in-law, John (Debbie) Albrecht Jr. and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Mike “Spike” Osterbrink, his sister, Grace Jansen and brother, Keith Osterbrink.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau.  Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service all at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau.  Entombment will follow at Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Wausau.
