Marvin O. Krueger

Marvin O. Krueger 96, Rib Falls, died Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. He was born March 29, 1911 in Wausau, son of the late Otto and Mary (Halava) Krueger. On June 12, 1937 he married Lydia Hoffman at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rib Falls. She survives. Marvin worked several jobs throughout his life including 3M followed by 20 years at Fromm Brothers then 28 years for the Marathon County Highway Department. After his retirement he worked at Ted Stencil Sawmill. He had a love for trains, especially antique steam engines and always enjoyed attending the Edgar Steam Show. His family was very important to him and he loved spending time with them. Survivors include his wife, Lydia, Rib Falls; children, Arlene (Wayne) Hoffman, Athens, Lorraine (John) Hoefs, Marshfield, Marilyn (Sylvester Jr.) Lipinski, Athens, Leila (Roger) Graveen, Edgar, Gary Krueger, Rib Mountain, Donna (David) Weisenberger, Marathon and Ronald Krueger, Rib Falls; sisters, Mildred Krueger, Wausau and June (William) Britt, Kenosha; brother, Edward Krueger, Kenosha; 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Russel, 5 brothers, Clarence, Leslie, Herbert, Harvey and Paul and 5 sisters, Norma, Margaret, Dorothy, Esther and Dora. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rib Falls. The Rev. Terry Reich will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Rib Falls. Friends may call Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
