Marvin M. Heil

Marvin M. Heil, 85, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at his home. He was born February 24, 1927 in Marathon, son of the late Anton and Frances (Jansen) Heil. On September 29, 1948 he married Helen Szemborski at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. Marvin worked as a foreman for Babcock and Wilcox. After his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his wife, both overseas and taking bus trips in the States. He was a talented woodworker, making a perfectly crafted toy for each of his grandchildren. Spending time with his family was most important to him and he was proud of the fact that he held his great-grandson Colby just an hour after he was born. Survivors include his wife, Helen, Kronenwetter; children, Doris (Michael) Peters, Hartland, Shirley (Kevin) Jeffords, Wheaton, Maryland, Alan (Jan) Heil, West Allis, Wayne (Chris) Heil, Muskego, Gail (Bob) Marcell, Kronenwetter, Brian (Diana) Heil, Elkhorn and Cindy (Drew) Binninger, Waukesha; son-in-law, Trent Cummings, Waukesha; 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman Heil, Nekoosa and Earl (Elloise) Heil, Mosinee; sisters, Verna Ruplinger, Marathon and Grace (Leo) Szemborski, Greenfield, and many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Cummings, brothers, Clifford, LeRoy and Donald Heil and sisters, Hattie Kordus, Doris Heil, Frances Bonkoski and Loretta Bonkoski. Friends may call Friday, October 26, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon, where there will be a 7:00 p.m. rosary service. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9520 W. Forest Home Avenue, Hales Corners, Wisc. The Rev. Matthew Widder will preside. Entombment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Milwaukee. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. all at the church.
