Martin Wilhelm Rudolph Stark
91, town of Hamburg, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Cedar Ridge Elder Services, Weston.
He was born February 13, 1915 in the town of Berlin. On December 16, 1944, he married Leona Hoeppner in the town of Stettin. She preceded him in death on October 26, 1969.
Martin served in the United States Army in Alaska, during World War II. He was a farmer in the town of Halsey for many years. Martin loved animals, especially horses and dogs.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his wife, Leona, he was preceded in death by his mother, Erna Stark Hoffmann; and two sisters, Ella Stark and Exelda Seligmiller.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2007 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, town of Berlin. Rev. Jeffrey Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Marathon County Humane Society.
