Martin P. Mueller, 82, Athens died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Colonial Center, Colby.
He was born October 4, 1930 in Fond du Lac, son of the late Walter and Esther (Hencke) Mueller. On October 31, 1959 he married Elaine Polk at St. John Lutheran Church, Berlin. She survives.
Martin was a dairy farmer in the town of Johnson for more than 50 years. He took over the farm from his father in 1955 and after more than 25 years of Elaine and Martin farming together they joined with their children and spouses, renaming the farm to Miltrim Farms. Martin took great pride in his family, his faith and the farm.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Mueller, Athens, his children, Kathryn (Scott) Trimner and Thomas P. (Lorene) Mueller, both of Athens, three grandchildren, Matthew, David and Daniel Trimner, one sister, Freida Rusch, Wisconsin Rapids and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Knorr and two brothers, Carl and Erwin Mueller.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. The Rev. Andrew Alberts will officiate and the Rev. Dr. Gary Paul will co-officiate. Burial will be in the Athens Lutheran Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Martin's name.
