Martin "Marty" D. Hahn, 81, Wausau, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born October 6, 1935 in Merrill, son of the late Martin and Marie (Pophal) Hahn. On July 20, 1957, he married Dawn Bloomquist in Irma, Wis. She preceded him in death on May 3, 2012.
Marty was a veteran and served for three years in the United States Army. For many years, he worked as a brakeman and conductor for the Milwaukee Railroad, and retired from Wisconsin Central Railroad. Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed collecting coins, woodworking, reading, fishing and listening to Blues music.
Survivors include, two sons, Steven (Chanatprapha) Hahn, Appleton and Randolph (Susan) Hahn, Wausau; his dear and family friend, Toni McNally, Wausau; three grandchildren, Melissa Hahn, Rachel Hahn, and Kristina Hahn, all of Merrill; two great-grandchildren, Abby and Cindi; and one brother, Neil "Mike" Tracy, Wausau.
Besides his parents and wife, Dawn, he was preceded in death by two sons, Daniel and Matthew; one brother; and four sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Tim Swanson will officiate. Friends may call on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Following services, military honors will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Burns Post No. 388, Wausau.
