Martha L. Schilbrach

Martha L. Schilbrach 94, Merrill, died Monday, October 11, 2004, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Pinecrest Nursing Home, Merrill. She was born May 10, 1910 in Tigerton, daughter of the late Arnold and Ida (Wege) Steinke. On September 19, 1931, Martha was united in marriage to Paul Schilbrach in Tigerton. He preceded her in death. Martha enjoyed flowers, gardening and fishing but her true passion was for bowling , still knocking down strikes at age 82. Survivors include one sister, Marcella Reinke, Tigerton, sisters-in-law, De Vera Steinke, Tigerton, Esther Steinke, Wausau, Elaine Steinke, Merrill, along with 13 nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Earl, Harvey and Gilbert Steinke and a sister, Irene Schumacher, two nephews, Ronald and Jerome Schumacher. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 14, 2004 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Weds. from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again from 10:00 a.m.Thursday until the time of services at the church.
