Martha M. Goetz

Martha M. Goetz 101, Wausau, died Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau. Martha was born November 18, 1900 in Marshfield, daughter of the late August and Lena (Mahlstead) Stecker. On February 12, 1918, she married Louis Goetz Sr. in Riplinger. He preceded her in death on August 26, 1960. Martha was a short order cook for the Mint CafAC., Wausau and a nurse's aide for Memorial and St. Mary Hospital, Wausau. She loved listening to music, playing the piano, organ and accordion. Survivors include one daughter, Violet Seipp, Schofield; 17 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Goetz, Wausau. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sons, Verland, Darold, Marvin and Louis Jr. Goetz. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2002 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau. Rev. James Laak will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. Friday until the time of services at the 6th St. funeral home.
