Martha J. Buckley, 59, Wausau died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Aspirus Wausau Hospit al.
She was born October 17, 1954 in Indianapolis, to the late David and Patricia (Cassidy) Hennick. She married Brian Buckley and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2003.
Martha was optimistic, loyal to all friends, warm, kind, curious, intelligent, gentle and had an appetite for life. She loved books, words, flowers, her cats and dogs, and tending to her rose gardens. She was a plants best friend. She also enjoyed her serenity with quiet times at White Potato Lake, breathing in life.
Martha's accomplishments were many. From being editor at UWGB student newspaper to a degree in Journalism to helping the law office of Ruder Ware.
Through her weaknesses Martha found herself. Eleven years on sobriety through a twelve step program, where she worked with others. Martha always had an ear open for you, loved chocolate, sugars, coffee, and to touch ones soul, she had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed. We love you Martha. You taught us how to be inclusive.
Survivors include her best friend, Ridge, Wausau, her siblings, Mark, Marshfield, Molly Zimmer, Florida and Matt Hennick, Oregon and nieces, nephews and many friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Brian.
