Marlyn E. Ziemer

Marlyn E. Ziemer 68, Schofield and Lakewood Ranch, Fla., died Monday, May 16, 2005 at Hospice House, Wausau. He was born October 27, 1936 in Tigerton and was raised in Shawano, son of the late Arthur and Esther (Watters) Ziemer. On June 22, 1963, he married Elaine Fuhs in Oshkosh. She survives. Marlyn served in the United States Airforce, and then completed his education at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh. Marlyn's full career was with Wausau Insurance Company, beginning in 1961 until retirement in 1998. He was a faithful and serving member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include, his wife, Elaine; his beloved children, Jody (Donald) Sonsalla, Grafton, and Scott (Mary) Ziemer, Weston; four grandchildren, Jade and Lexi Sonsalla and Andrew and Nicole Ziemer; four siblings, Ramona VandenBerg, Forrest (Joyce) Ziemer and James Ziemer, all of Shawano, and Patricia (Tom) Bero, Green Bay; one brother-in-law, James Fuhs; one sister-in-law, Susan Hobson; and many nieces, nephews and a "family" of friends further survive. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Sherry Billberg will officiate. Friends may call Thursday, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau, and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
