Marlyn "Don" Jonas
66, 7005 Christiansen St., Weston died Thursday January 3, 2002 at Hospice House, Wausau.
Don was born December 5, 1935 in Wausau, son of the late Leo and Hazel (Baken) Jonas. On March 2, 1957, he married Shirley Padlock. She preceded him in death.
He was a veteran of the US Marines.
Don was a meat cutter and handyman until the time of his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife, especially birds.
Survivors include; one daughter, Dawn (Jim) Ritchie, Milwaukee; one son, Gregg (LeAnne Marquardt) Jonas, Merrill; three grandchildren, Amanda, Mikayla and Jimmy; three sisters, Jackie Harrington, Florida, Sandy (Jim) Salzman,Ringle; and Nancy (Tony) Bonafozi, Illinois, two brothers, Robert Jonas, Calif., and Tom Jonas, Weston, special friend, Marji Jonas, Wausau, several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Jonas and one sister, Bonnie.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2002 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth St., Wausau. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. Saturday until the time of services at the Sixth Street. funeral home.
