Marlene E. Sherfinski
75, Wausau, died Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
She was born October 24, 1933 in Ashland, daughter of the late Emil and Sophie (Malak) Koehler. On August 25, 1956 she married Thaddeus "Ted" Sherfinski in Wausau. He preceded her in death on January 7, 1981.
Marlene worked at the phone company in Wausau until her marriage. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Catholic Foresters and Our Lady of the Woods Circle No. 8 at St. Michael Catholic Church. Playing bingo, traveling, shopping and going out to eat were some of the things she enjoyed most.
Survivors include her five children, Jackie (Chuck) Brod, Mosinee, Faye Bileddo, Wausau, Allen (Debbie) Sherfinski, Mosinee, Karen (Kal) Kloth, Weston and Holly (Bill) Jones, Vernon Hills, Ill.; grandchildren, Christopher Bileddo, Wausau, Josh, Brandon and Tyler Sherfinski, all of Mosinee, Katie Kloth, Weston, Emily, August and Lucas Jones, all of Vernon Hills, Ill.; siblings, Phyllis (Dick) Schewe, Big Pine Key, Flor. and George (Carol) Koehler, Tavares, Flor. and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband, Ted, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kyle Kloth and a brother, Jim Koehler.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 4- 8p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau and again on Tuesday from 10a.m. until the time of services at the church.
