Marlene Rita Rochon, 81, Wausau, died Friday May 8, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born January 25, 1934 in Wausau, daughter of the late William and Margaret (Fleischman) LeMere. On June 7, 1958, she married James Rochon at St. Michael Catholic Church Wausau. He survives.
After college Marlene started her working career as a school teacher in Florence, Wis. and then went on to teach at D.C. Everest High School and later went to work for Wausau Insurance Company.
She had a true passion for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cross country skiing. In her spare time she liked to research genealogy and was a member of the Marathon County Genealogical Society.
Survivors include her husband, James, Wausau; two sons, Charlie (Jackie) Rochon, Oconto Falls and Dale Rochon, Superior; and grandchildren, Logan, Bryce, Aubrie, Scot, and Chris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Loyal and Breck LeMere; and one sister Priscilla Strek.
