Marlene A. Ramthun

Marlene A. Ramthun, 80, Wausau, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born December 18, 1933 in Rhinelander, daughter of the late Hayes and Hazel (Ford) Pulver. On September 25, 1954, she married Harvey F. Ramthun in Wausau. He preceded her in death on December 6, 1981. Marlene was a homemaker throughout her life. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed reading, shopping and watching TV. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include, two children, Linda (Robert) Stasney, Wausau and Mark Ramthun, Wausau; three grandchildren, Anthony (Nikki) Stasney, Wausau, Jennifer (Daniel) Christensen, Shoreview, Minn. and Daniel Ramthun, Wausau; two great-grandchildren, Grayson Stasney and Landon Christensen; one brother, Donald Pulver, Oregon; and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Harvey, she was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Ramthun; one brother, Duwayne Pulver; and one sister, Maizelle Leinberger. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2013 at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schofield. Rev. Jeffrey P. Mahnke will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Memorials may be directed to Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services or St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schofield.
