Mark A. Salzman
48, Wausau, died Monday, March 28, 2011 at Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital, Weston.
He was born August 20, 1962 in Wausau, son of Leonard Salzman and the late Alice (Wanke) Salzman.
Mark was a jack of all trades and had several jobs over the years including a DJ at a radio station, caretaker at Pine Grove Cemetery, logging equipment operator and working for the family trucking business. He enjoyed being outdoors, trivia and playing chess. Mark loved animals and will be remembered for his giving spirit and willingness to help anyone he could.
Survivors include his two daughters, Shannon and Shelby, both of Wausau; step-daughter, Samantha Dake-Schuld, Medford; father and step-mother, Leonard (Nancy) Salzman, Wausau; siblings, Marie Salzman, Kenosha, Karen Hass, Wausau, John (Evelyn Cooper) Salzman, Hewitt, Tony (Sandy) Salzman, Hatley, Thomas Salzman, Wausau and Patricia Salzman, Aniwa; step-brother, Richard Salzman; step-sisters, Noreen Salzman and Connie Rosenau; nephew, Steven Salzman, Fort Knox, Ky.; mother of his children, Jodi Salzman, Wausau and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice and a brother, Matthew.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 10a.m. Monday, April 4, 2011 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Oratory, Wausau. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Sunday from 4-8p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau and again on Monday from 9:30a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a 6p.m. prayer service followed by eulogies and a 7:30p.m. rosary Sunday at the 6th Street funeral home.
