Mark D. Gleason

Mark D. Gleason 83, 146 Ethel Street, Wausau, died Thursday November 28, 2002 at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. He was born February 18, 1919 in Ringle, son of the late William and Nellie (Sickler) Gleason. On April 15, 1936 he married Esther Goytowski in Waukon, Iowa. She preceded him in death May 24, 1972. Mark had been employed for most of his working career as a truck driver retiring from Wausau Papers. He enjoyed working on his car and an occaisional trip to the casino. Survivors include two sons, Jerome (Elaine) Gleason, Rothschild, Jim Gleason, Wausau, a daughter, Sharon Smith, Waukesha, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one brother, John Gleason, Ringle. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, two brothers and four sisters. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday December 3, 2002 at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. Stephen Gross will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th Street, Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
