Marjorie T. (Hunt) Kryshak

Marjorie T. Kryshak, 92, Wausau passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2024 while under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at North Central Health Care Center, Wausau.

She was born August 24, 1931 in the town of New Hope, Wisconsin, daughter of the late John and Lauretta (Rubbelke) Hunt. On October 24, 1953 she married Maurice A. Kryshak at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Stevens Point. They enjoyed a loving 70-year marriage with all the joys that life brings.

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Marge dedicated her life to raising her family, sharing her love and caregiving as a registered nurse, specializing in the care of Alzheimer and disabled patients in the latter years of her 40-year career. She founded the Central Wisconsin chapter for Alzheimer’s Family Support in the 1970’s and volunteered her efforts whenever she saw the need. The enjoyment of playing her favorite solitaire card game, doing crossword puzzles, bowling with friends, or winning at Bingo were some of her many pastimes. She loved nature walks and was an avid swimmer and especially enjoyed her reading adventures. Her generous spirit will be missed by all who know her.

Survivors include her husband, Maurice Kryshak, Wausau; her children: Jeannine (Dennis) Stencil, Wausau; David (Cheryl) Kryshak, Ringle; Mark (Jodi Engum) Kryshak, Amherst; Clare (Peter Karwowski) Kryshak, Homer, Alaska, and Peggy Kryshak, Wausau; seven grandchildren: Brian and Chris (Jeannine's family), Andy and Elizabeth (Dave's family), Ian and Kelby (Mark's family) and Sabina (Clare's family), seven great grandchildren, and sisters-in-law, Judy Hunt, Texas and Ruby Hunt, Oshkosh. An additional great and a great-great grandchild are soon to arrive.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Kryshak, and her siblings, Sr. Louise Hunt, Doris Konopacky, and Clifford, Lloyd, and Patrick Hunt.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024 at St. Anne Parish, Wausau. The Pastor, Tom Lindner will preside. Entombment will be in Holy Angels Mausoleum, St. Michael Catholic Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service, all at the church.
