Marion H. States

Marion H. States 89, Wausau, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born April 30, 1915 in the town of Stettin, daughter of the late Adolph & Edith (Pittsley) Melang. On April 3, 1937, she married Glenn States Sr. in Wausau. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2000. Marion was a homemaker. She was a life long member of the Immanuel Baptist Church, Rib Mountain and was very active in their Ladies Missionary Society, Sunday School Teacher and was a Deaconess. Marion enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and a friendly conversation. Survivors include two sons, Glenn Jr. (Bonnie) States, Rib Mountain and Richard (Sharon) States, Waldorf, Maryland; five grandchildren, Kelly (Dennis) Dadacki, Andy (Brenda) States, Timothy States, Kimberly States, Sara (Dale) Vandenboom; six great grandchildren, Stephanie, Eric & Matt Vandenboom and Dylan, Alyssa & Austin Dadacki. Besides her parents, she was preceeded in death by one daughter, Gail Hagen; three sisters, Dorothy, Enid & Arleene; two brothers, Gordon & Russell. The funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 7, 2005 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Rib Mountain. Rev. Richard Krenz will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
