Marion A. Lodholz

Marion A. Lodholz 83, Wausau, died Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at Marywood Convalescent Center, Wausau. She was born April 12, 1922 in Ringle, daughter of the late August and Lena (Schram) Kurth. On October 25, 1941 she married Gene Lodholz at Grace Lutheran Church, Ringle. He preceded her in death July 23, 2002. Marion was a former manager of Maurice's Clothing Store in Wausau for 25 years, earning the "Manager of the Year" award four times. Prior to her employment with Maurice's, she was a buyer of women's apparel for the Johnson Hills Wisconsin chain. Among her many interests, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and fishing. Following retirement, she traveled extensively with her husband, Gene. Survivors include her children, Kathleen (Robert) Lampe, Rothschild and Richard (Karen) Lodholz, Wausau; six grandchildren, Kevin, and Travis Lodholz, Tiffany (Tom Ellington) Lodholz, Kristin (Matthew Schmitz) Lampe, Evan (Hsaipao Yen) Lampe and Amanda Lampe; four great grandchildren, Riley Ann, Patrick, Vivian and Adison; and one sister, Dorothy (Harris) Thomas, Wausau. Besides her husband Gene, Marion was preceded in death by one grandson, Ryan; one brother Leslie Kurth; and one sister Valaria Thurs. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday November 12, 2005 at the First English Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Jay Kamrath will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Pallbearers for the service will be Kevin Lodholz, Kristin Lampe, Matthew Schmitz, Tiffany Lodholz, Tom Ellington, Amanda Lampe and Travis Lodholz.
