Marion R. Jakubowski, 90, Wausau, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Benedictine Living Community, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born August 15, 1926 in Rozellville, Wis., the 6th of 16 children born to the late Louis and Agnes (Gemski) Kraus.
Marion was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling, bingo, and especially being with her large family and friends, watching her grandson Brian's stock car races and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Survivors include, one son, Claude (Judy) Paszek, Wausau; one daughter, Louise Goretski, Plover; five grandchildren, Paula (John) Gavinski, Bevent, Brian (Andrea) Paszek, Arizona, Leann Ninabuck, Edgar, Kirk Goretski, Sun Prairie and Chad Goretski, Plover; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Agnes Rehlinger, Virginia Stauber and Marilyn (Richard) Wagner, all of Marshfield; five brothers, Louis (Dorothy) Kraus, Wausau, Jerry (Jean) Kraus, Marshfield, Tom (Margaret) Kraus, Marshfield, Jim (Irene) Kraus, Janesville and Ken (Mary) Kraus, Stratford; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Norbert Paszek and Anthony Jakubowski; four sisters, Lorraine (Martin) Mancl, Margaret (Emil) Oertel, Laverne (Jack) Fahey and Annita (Roland Hupe & Dale Pokallus); three brothers, Edward (Emma) Kraus, Charles Kraus and Leroy (Anita) Kraus; and two brothers-in-law, Ronald Rehlinger and Roman Stauber Sr.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Entombment will be in the Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
