Marion Geier

Marion (Fell) Geier passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Marion was born on September 7, 1922 to Alice and Robert Fell. She married George Geier on October 26, 1946 and they made their home in the Town of Stettin. They were married 65 years. Marion's delightful smile and bubbling personality were infectious. She enjoyed life and the time she spent with family and friends. She especially enjoyed going out to eat, camping, snowmobiling and watching the activities of her children and grandchildren. One of her favorite weekends of the year was spent attending the Hodag Country Fest and the fun she had visiting with family and friends there. Marion worked for 25 years for Marathon Battery, but was best known for the years she was employed as a clerk at the Tackle Box. People were always stopping to talk with her about how they remembered her from the Tackle Box. Marion is survived by her sons, Randy (Debra) Geier and granddaughter Michaela; Rick Geier and grandchildren Rebecca and Reese, all of Wausau; a sister, Jean Schneider, Wausau, as well as nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her husband, George, and her parents. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Grace United Church of Christ, 535 S. 3rd Avenue, Wausau. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at Grace United Church of Christ.
