Marion M. Duvie
82, Wausau, died Friday September 26, 2003 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital.
She was born May 7, 1921 in Wausau, daughter of the late Otto and Mary (Beyersdorff) Duvie.
Marion had been employed in Medical Records Administration for 37 years at the former St. Mary Hospital and later with Wausau Hospital North. Because of her excellent organizational skills, in 1951, Marion was assigned a special project, the establishment of a medical records department at a hospital in Rome, Italy.
She was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women and the Rosary Confraternity at St. Michael Parish and was a member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters St. Cecelia Court. Marion enjoyed playing cards, Yatzee, puzzles and going to breakfast with her special friends.
Survivors include a sister, Valeria Thompson, Mosinee, nieces, Janice (Max) Corazalla, Mosinee, Ruth (Norman) Kurszewski, Fla., Nancy (late, Jerry) Thiele, Rothschild, Nancy (late Duane) Thiele, Wausau and great nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Adeline and a brother, Norman.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday September 29, 2003 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a combined parish, Rosary Confraternity, PCCW and Foresters Rosary Service at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sixth Street funeral home.
