Marilyn L. Schroeder 73, Wausau, died Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born October 16, 1934 in Wausau, daughter of the late Walter and Eleanor "Dottie" (Shadd) Gorectcke. Among her many interests, she loved playing bingo and enjoyed flower gardening, going for boat rides and spending time with her friends and family. Survivors include, four children, Rodney (Cynthia) Schroeder, Largo, Fla., and James, Brian and Kevin Schroeder, all of Wausau; two grandchildren, Shane (Kris) Schroeder, St. Paul, Minn. and Shannon (Daniel) Turzinski, Blaine, Minn.; one sister, Donna (Duane) Waldburger, Wausau; one brother, Charles (JoAnn) Gorectcke, Canada; and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Schroeder. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2008 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
