Marie K. Klinger

Marie K. Klinger 90, Wausau, died Tuesday December 9, 2008 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born June 8, 1918 in the town of Emmet, daughter of the late Joseph and Kate (Hughes) Karlen. On July 5, 1941 she married Sigmund Klinger at St. Mary Catholic Church, Marathon. He preceded her in death June 8, 1979. For many years, Marie had worked with the Hot Lunch Program at Holy Name School, Wausau. She was a member of the St. Rita Circle of the St. Catherine Council, the sewing class group and the Ministry of Praise all at Holy Name Parish. Survivors include a daughter Kay (Jerry) Arlen, Winchester, a son, Robert (Ann) Klinger, Madison, grandchildren, Amy (Jeff Gress)Arlen, Jody (Kari) Arlen, all of Wausau, Kala (Mike) Moynihan, Chicago, Rhonda Klinger, Milwaukee, great grandchildren, Fletcher Arlen,, Katie Moynihan and Andrew Moynihan. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances, Margaret and Kathryn and a brother, Marvin Karlen. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday December 12, 2008 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Gerald Pehler O.F.M. Cap. will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
