Mrs. Henry (Marguerite "Peg" Sargeant) Felio, age 92, passed into the loving arms of her Lord on April 19, 2011 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
Born in Minnesota, Peg attended college at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point, and married Henry Felio, her husband of 55 years in Lime Springs, Iowa. She was a school teacher for many years, teaching at Rib Mountain, Weston, and Rothschild schools, and was a leader in the Happy Valley Pals 4-H Group. Peg was a long-time, loyal member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Wausau, and was also involved in Christians In Action, Child Evangelism, and Awana.
Peg always stayed active, enjoying her time at Mount View Care Center playing cards, bingo, and participating in the garden club and church services.
She is survived by daughter, Juanita Toni (Jim) Hass and their children, Penni (Tyler) Drake and Heather (Brad) Overton all of Tennessee; daughter, Gail Rosentreter and her children, Jenny and Henry Rosentreter all of Wausau; foster children; six great grandchildren; as well as nieces; nephews; in-laws; and countless friends.
Peg was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her beloved husband Henry, her precious babies who died at birth and her heroic son, Wayne, who died while serving as a missionary in Japan.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 23, 2011, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, Wausau. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 in the Meehan Cemetery, Stevens Point. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mount View Care Center Activities Fund. Many thanks to the staff at Mount View Care Center who provided Peg with a fun and loving home and her dear friends who treated her like family.
