Margaret Mary Stark

Margaret M. Stark, 77, R872 Fir Lane, Rietbrock, died Thursday, March 28, 2002 at the Colonial Center Nursing Home, Colby. Margaret was born October 3, 1924 in Wood County, daughter of the late William and Ann (Kraus) Schmidt. She married Louis W. Stark, September 16, 1952 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Athens. He survives. As a homemaker Margaret helped Louis on their farm in the town of Rietbrock. Winning games of Sheepshead and polka dancing with her husband were among her favorite things to do. Besides her husband, Louis Stark, she is survived by three daughters, Bernice (Curtis) Balz, Marshfield, Lucille Stark, Wausau, Rita (Darrell) Woller, Merrill; one son, Jerome Stark, Athens; six grandsons, Chad (Joy) Balz, Chicago, Shawn Balz, Marshfield, Samson Woller, Jason Woller and David Woller all of Merrill, J.D. Arndt, Wausau; one granddaughter, Jenny Arndt, Wausau; one sister, Betty (Don) Singstock, Marshfield; four brothers, Allen (Darlene) Schmidt, Marshfield, Clifford (Verena) Schmidt, La Crosse, Lloyd (Kate) Schmidt, Wisconsin Rapids, Bobby Schmidt, Chili. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 1, 2002 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call from 5 -7 p.m. on Sunday at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, and again from 10:30 a.m., Monday, until the time of services at the church In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens.
