Margaret E. Schoonover

August 10, 1905 — August 15, 2003

Margaret E. Schoonover, 98, Weston, died Friday, August 15, 2003 under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. She was born August 10, 1905 in Rhinelander, Wis., daughter of the late Adlord and Victoria (Chaignot) Dault. On October 22, 1928 she married Walter Schoonover in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death. Margaret was a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include one son, Walter (Laverne) Schoonover, Menomonee Falls; two daughters, Rae Will, Ringle, Patricia Schoonover, Weston; a special "son" Darrell Will, Sr., Ringle; eight grandchildren, Cindy (Bill) Goldman, Alan (Linda) Schoonover, Laurie (Pat) Pomeroy, Kathy (Kurt) Augustine, MaryJo (Joe) Dejanovich, Darrell Will, Jr., Doug Will, and Diana (Greg) Stroik; 15 great grandchildren, Brian, Matthew, Ryan, Trenton, Erin, Meghan, Ashley, Allison, Andrea, Sophia, Sam, Nicole, David, Andrew, and Kaitlyn; one great great grandson, Noah; one God-son, David Breunig; and one sister, Anna Bruenig, Merrill. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Leah Christian, Theresa Breunig; two brothers, Albert and Louis Dault. The funeral mass will be celebrated 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston. The Rev. Joseph Rafacz will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Fr. Joseph Rafacz, and the staff of St. Agnes Parish, and to Pastor David Zandt of Mount Olive Church, for their care and concern. Also to Dr. Jolin, the nurses and volunteers of Comfort Care and Hospice Services, for their heartfelt care for Margaret and their assistance to her family. A special thank you to visiting nurse Susan Eskar. In lieu of flowers the family directs memorials to St. Agnes Parish, Hospice, or the Marathon County Public Library. The Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
