Margaret C. Meydem

Margaret Catherine Meydem, 92, Wausau, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Wausau Manor. She was born October 7, 1919 in Town of Berlin, daughter of the late Robert and Pauline (Hoeft) Seefeld. In 1941 she married Willard Meydem in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death. Margaret worked at Eggers Hardwood Products in Neenah and after her retirement in 1989, moved back to the Wausau area. She enjoyed needlework, gardening, crossword and sudoku puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Cheryl (Fredrick) Callies, Franklin and Lee Meydem, Milwaukee; grandchildren, Kevin (fiancAC. Chrystal) Meach, and Brett (Casee) Meach; great-grandson, Porter; step grandchildren, Charles and Kyle Callies; step great-grandchildren, Carrie, Caitlyn and Zoe; sisters, Adeline Utech and Helen (Clarence) Marschall; brother, Myron (Ruth) Seefeld; sisters-in law, Mildred Seefeld and Corleen Oelke, other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents, Robert and Pauline Seefeld, she was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Utech and brothers, William and Robert Seefeld. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Gary Schultz will officiate. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church. The family would like to thank the staffs at Aspirus Wausau Hospital Palliative Care, Comfort Care and Hospice Services and Wausau Manor for all the compassionate care given to Margaret.
