Margaret T. Karlen

Margaret T. Karlen 83, formerly of Edgar died Wednesday, October 16, 2002 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay. She was born July 13, 1919 in Marathon County, daughter of the late Nick and Rose (Ritter) Karlen. Margaret was employed at the Community Service Center, Green Bay for many years. She enjoyed sweets, embroidering, going out to eat and watching the Wheel of Fortune and the Lawrence Welk Show. Margaret was an avid packer fan. Survivors include two sisters, Lucille (Warren) Hager, Stratford and Sylvia (Harvey) Nowacki, Milwaukee; two brothers, Ervin (Gertrude) Karlen, Edgar and Nicholas (Mary) Karlen, Poniatowski; many nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2002 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar is in charge of the arrangements.
