Margaret C. Iselin

Margaret C. Iselin 82, Rib Mountain, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. She was born November 22, 1927 in Racine, daughter of the late Martin and Anna (Petersen) Christopherson. On September 17, 1949, she married Raymond W. Iselin in Racine. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2009. Margaret was an active member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau and was a member of the St. Matthew Circle of Joy for many many years. She volunteered at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital gift shop for over 35 years. One of her great passions was knitting hats for the newborns and she lovingly knitted over 10, 000. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed going to the casino and getting her hair done every Wednesday morning at The Beauty Shop in Wausau. The most important part of Margaret's life was her family and they were always number one in her heart. Survivors include, two children, Barbara (Steve) Kubichek, Tomahawk and Chris (Pam) Iselin, Casper, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Becky, Tim, Luke, Amber and Jonah; five great grandchildren, Marcus, Ian, Maggie, Brett and Braylon; and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Marc; three brothers, Harry, Ken and Herb Christopherson; and one sister, Edna Ransom. The memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 14, 2010 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Robert Thorn will preside. Entombment will be in the Garden of Eternal Rest Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
