Margaret "Peggy" S. Greene 64, Rib Mountain, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at her home, under the care of Ministry Home Hospice. She was born September 8, 1942 in Hopkins, Minn., daughter of the late Elmer and Marjorie (Hansen) Schmitz. Peggy worked for the former Northwestern National Life Insurance Company as a systems analyst, until her retirement. She was a member of the Cable Area Quilters, Camp Lebanon Quilters and the "Birkie Girls" outdoor club in Cable, Wis. Survivors include, two sons, Robert J. (Lisa Mages-Greene) and their son, Harrison Greene, all of Wausau; Peter L. (Michaela) Greene, Kaneohe, Hawaii; and one brother, Peter J. (Emily) Schmitz, Nerstrand, Minn. The memorial mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2007 at The Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Steven Brice will preside. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Ministry Home Hospice and Interim Health Care, Wausau for the care and compassion given to Peggy and her family during her illness.
