Marcella R. Kraft

Marcella R. Kraft, 93, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 under the care of Asera Care Hospice at Golden Living Center-Continental Manor, Abbotsford. She was born January 22, 1921 in the town of Rietbrock, daughter of the late John and Caroline (Braun) Rauen. On June 22, 1940 she married Albert Kraft in Poniatowski. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1969. Marcella loved playing cards with friends and family as well as trips to the casino. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening, especially flowers. In her younger years she worked hard on the farm while her husband worked another job away from the home. She was a member of the PCCW and Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Mary Jane) Kraft and their sons, Brian, Paul and Kevin; Ronald (Elaine) Kraft and their daughters, Tammy and Janelle; grandson, Darrin Albrecht; Randall (Linda) Kraft and their children, Ryan, Craig, Russell and Michelle; Allen (Theresa) Kraft and their daughters, Marie and April; Gerald (Penny) Kraft and their children, Andrew and Heather; Carla Kraft; 17 great-grandchildren, sister, Lorraine Doering and sister-in-law, Thelma Rauen. Besides her parents and husband, Albert, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Albrecht, grandsons, David and Hunter James, siblings, Lydia Bradfish, Caroline Kraft, Michael, Lawrence, Myron, George and John Jr. Rauen. The funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
