Marcella J. Hapl
80, 1010 East Wausau Avenue, Wausau died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
She was born August 1, 1924 in Chicago, Ill, daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Sonka) Hapl. They resided in Clarendon Hills, Ill.
Marcella moved from the Chicago area in November of 1968 to make her home at Colonial Manor in Wausau.
Marcy sat in the rounda at Colonial Manor and visited with her many friends as they entered the facility. In the warm weather, she enjoyed sitting on the front porch. Marcy always appreciated her rides through the halls in her wheelchair and liked to watch the cooking channel on the big screen TV.
Survivors include her step sister-in-law, Lynn Guth, Wausau, her step sister, Geraldine Chrudimsky, Aniwa, a step brother, Gerald Guth, Green Bay, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three half brothers, Frank, Joe, and George Hapl; her step brother-in-law, George Chrudimsky and her step brother, William Guth and his wife Caroline.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Ill. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Marcy's family wishes to thank the staff of Colonial Manor (her other family) for all the years of wonderful care and loving concern shown to her.
