Marcella "Rosie" Drengler
84, formerly of 3254 4th Street, Marathon died Saturday, September 22, 2007 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
She was born April 15, 1923 in Rib Falls, daughter of the late Harry and Alvina (Bartelt) Henrichs. On November 12, 1942 she married Harvey Drengler in Rib Falls. He survives.
Marcella was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, canning and baking and was proud to be a member of the Mission Circle, St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church Ladies Aide and the Hillcrest Homemakers Club.
Survivors include her husband, Harvey Drengler, Marathon; her children, Alan (Mary) Drengler, Tomahawk, Jessie (Dennis) Meister, Marshfield, Kay (Chandas) Thompson, Shawano and Daniel (Diana) Drengler, Colgate, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, her siblings, Elaine Sonnentag and Geraldine (Milton) Marth, both of Marathon, and Harriet (Roger) Wanner, Wausau. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter Diane Heller, one son Tony Drengler and her siblings Wilfred Henrichs and Joane Lane.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Marathon. The Rev. Jon Hadler will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, town of Stettin. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from Noon until the time of services all at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Marathon is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Northland Lutheran High School, Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services or St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Marathon.
