Major Robert T. Mack
78, Milwaukee, a formerly of Wausau, died Friday October 18, 2002 at Willow Crest Care Center, South Milwaukee.
He was born December 17, 1923 in Wausau, son of the late Martin and Thelma (Moore) Mack. A graduate of Marquette University, Robert was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Army Infantry in Europe and also served his country during the Korean Conflict in Japan and Korea in the transportation corps. Later he was a member of the US Army Reserve and was a member of the Reserve Officers Association and the American Legion in Milwaukee. Prior to his retirement, Robert had been employed with the Milwaukee Road Railroad. He enjoyed music, football and was an avid reader.
Survivors include a son, David, two daughters, Denise and Donna, six grandchildren, cousins, Sherri (Jerry) Athers, Santee, Calif., Jackie Gliniecki, Wausau, Jerome Moore, Milwaukee, Rev. John W. Moore, Charlene Moore and Tom Moore, all of Wauwatosa, special friends, Pete and Connie Sahagian, Madison, Tom and Shirley Dittman, Milwaukee, Pat Bowman, Portage and John Kolokithus, Milwaukee.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday October 22, 2002 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. William Grevatch will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau, where full military honors will be conducted. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 6th St., Wausau, is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
