Maisy Ellen Livingston, age 11, of Merrill, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, this past Sunday following a tragic boating accident.
Maisy’s life was a reflection of her deep love for Jesus. Her faith shaped who she was—kind, compassionate, thoughtful, and full of quiet joy. Even at a young age, Maisy had a heart that was tuned to God's goodness. She lived with a calm assurance, and her trust in the Lord was evident in the way she loved others, served quietly, and smiled brightly through life’s adventures.
She had a curious mind and loved to learn and analyze, especially through building and designing with her monthly CrunchLab kits. She enjoyed a challenge and approached each one with determination and joy—from trying the kneeboard for the first time to jumping the wake, always with a cheerful “okay” or a quick “yeah, that would be fun.”
Though she may have seemed quiet and reserved at first, Maisy’s fun-loving spirit would shine through in moments like riding a four-wheeler with a grin or leaving behind a small bouquet of wildflowers—just because she cared. She was quick to say “thank you,” and even quicker to offer a helping hand or a gentle smile.
Maisy was a true joy to all who knew her, and her absence leaves a deep ache. But those who loved her take comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of her Savior, whom she loved so dearly.
Maisy is survived by her parents, Ed and Abby Livingston; siblings, Maddie, Eddie, Penny and twin sister, Clara; grandparents, Ed and Kristy Livingston, Al and Rose Towle; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
All are welcome to the funeral service on August 10th at Highland Community Church, Wausau. Visitation from 1:30-4:30, with a service to follow.
In honor of Maisy’s life and faith, her family encourages you to love others deeply, serve quietly, and walk closely with the Lord—just as she did.
