Lyle W. Sackmann

Lyle W. Sackmann, 78, Athens died Monday, October 8, 2018 at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield.

He was born August 25, 1940 in Athens to the late William and Eva (Andrews) Sackmann.

Lyle worked at the former Braun Brothers Ford garage for many years as well as farming with his father in the town of Bern.  After his father’s passing Lyle continued farming until his retirement.  Some of his favorite pastimes included hunting out west, fishing and sawing lumber.

Survivors include his two brothers, Roger (Shirley) Sackmann, Wausau and Harvey (Betty) Sackmann, Maryland, his significant other, Barb Wegner, Athens and his close friend, Johnathon Klimpke, Athens.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Norbert.

Private graveside services were held at Calvary Cemetery, Athens.  Rev. George Graham officiated.  Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of arrangements.  Memorials may be directed to REGI, Raptor Education Group, Inc., P.O.
