Lyle J. Levandoski

Lyle J. Levandoski 68, Racine, died Saturday September 14, 2002 at his home. He was born May 5, 1934 in the town of Emmet, son of Lillian (Petrowski) Levandoski, Wausau, and the late Michael Levandoski. Prior to his retirement, Lyle had been employed at Briggs & Stratton, Wauwautosa. A Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was an active member of the American Legion Harvey R. Hansen Post #310, Racine. Lyle also enjoyed photography. Survivors include his mother, Lillian Levandoski, Wausau, four brothers and sisters, Marlin (Betty) Levandoski, Cedarburg; Lois (Eldrow) Haese, Rhinelander; Lavila (Donald) Dobbs, Onalaska and James (Kathleen) Levandoski, Racine; one aunt, Anna Michlig, Marathon, two uncles, Phillip (Frances) Petrowski, Racine and Joseph (Jean) Levandoski, Milwaukee and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael, an infant brother, Bernard and aunts and uncles. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 26, 2002 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. Rev. Joseph Gyim-Austin will preside. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6p.m. until 8 p.m. at the PetersonKraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Weds. evening at the Stewart Avenue funeral home.
