Lyle R. Leith

Lyle R. Leith, 77, died February 20, 2018 at his home. He was born July 15, 1940 in Rhinelander, son of the late Marvin and Elizabeth (Rausch) Leith. On July 28, 1962 he married Sandra Dalbec in Wausau. She survives. Lyle enjoyed getting his hands dirty working on cars, and always took time to invite friends and family into his home for coffee. Above all he loved "his girls" which included his wife, daughters and granddaughters. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Leith; children, Kathrine Leith and Beth Leith; grandchildren, Brittany (Kristoffer) Eidnes and Ashlyn Smith; sister, Barbara Kitsembel of Wausau; brother, James (Phyllis) Leith of Janesville; sister-in-law, Mary Lou McCarten of Wausau, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tamela Leith and infant granddaughter, Amber Leith Matonich. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Rev. Jeffrey Martinson will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Sixth Street funeral home.
