Lyle M. Fletcher

Lyle M. Fletcher 86, 1105 North First Avenue, Wausau died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 under the care of Comfort Care & Hospice Services at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital. Lyle was born March 16, 1915 in Wausau, son of the late Harry Sr. and Laura (Lee) Fletcher. He married Verna Stark, August 3, 1940 in Dubuque, Iowa. She survives. Lyle was employed at Marathon Box Company for 30 years, retiring in 1980. Survivors, besides his wife, Verna Fletcher, Wausau, include one daughter, Barbara Fletcher, Glenview, Illinois, one son, Robert (Sandy) Fletcher, Sarona, and two sisters, Marion Kraft, Freehold, New Jersey and Virginia (Richard) Treviranus, Milwaukee. Besides his parents, Lyle was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Fletcher and Harry Fletcher Jr. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2001 at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Dr. Michael Meranda will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call Sunday from noon until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Lyle's name is being established. Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Avenue, Wausau is in charge of arrangements.
